Weekend

What a great weekend we had. Saturday we were in a golf tournament for a fundraiser for Fire District 5, our friend Debbie who owns Willie's Talent Club, had the club sponser two teams. Willie, God rest his soul, was a firefighter for about 40 years. Deb's 2nd husband is also a firefighter. This is probably the 6th year we have done this. Its alot of fun, Walt and I dont get much of a chance to golf together. I so love it when i can outdrive him :), him not so much but it doesnt happen very often.

Sunday was the opening of the Britt Festival. Its such a fun event, as we sit out on the lawn, under the stars with our dinner and wine that you can bring in. We saw Crosby, Stills and Nash. It was great!! They are getting a bit old, but their voices still very sweet, and Stills is still an amazing guitar player, as well as Crosby and Nash. We stand in line for hours to get good seats on the hill, but we always meet great people. Last night we met a couple from Olympia Washington that just bought a house in Jacksonville. They just come down on weekends right now, but will be moving here. We plan to get together with them - he and Walt have similar sense of humor - (yikes) The festival runs through labor day, and people come from all over to see great artist. We also are going to see 'The Neville Brothers', and 'The Wailin Jennys'. Last year we saw Linda Rondstadt, Mark Knopler. Great fun!!
